Digital Safeguarding Adviser

Dr. Ronda Železný-Green is an internationally recognised expert at the intersection of youth, gender, and technology, with extensive experience in digital safeguarding. With two decades of global experience across five continents and sectors—including civil society, government, and the private sector—Ronda’s work focuses on creating inclusive, equitable, and safe digital ecosystems for historically marginalised communities, especially young people, women and girls, and people with disabilities.

As a mobile technologist, strategic advisor, and educator, Ronda has:

  • Led the development and implementation of digital safeguarding strategies for global education and technology initiatives;
  • Designed inclusive digital learning environments and training programmes that prioritise the safety and agency of young people and marginalised learners;
  • Advised multilateral organisations, funders, and NGOs on responsible data use and online safety risks, including those emerging from AI and social media;
  • Embedded gender justice, racial equity, and child protection principles into digital transformation processes worldwide.
