Since 2021, Funder Safeguarding Collaborative have actively built a space where funders can come together to share practice, test ideas and strengthen how they support the organisations and the communities they fund. We are proud of what has been achieved in that time. It reflects a collective effort to move from intention to action.
As a network we have achieved this change by bringing safeguarding leads together to share challenges and learn from one another, publishing evidence-based reports and guides, improving access to safeguarding consultants with contextual understanding via the creation of communities of practice and providing members with specialised technical support and training.
Our work since 2021

Intention to action
Recognising that impact is achieved through the work of our members, we are working to understand and respond to their needs. Our annual member survey captures information about their safeguarding policies, practices, challenges and priorities.
The findings of the 2025 survey provide valuable insights into current practices across funder organisations.

What comes next?
As we celebrate the achievements of our first five years, we look forward to what comes next. Change in this space is iterative and often uneven; it requires persistence, openess, and a willingness to learn from both progress and setbacks. The progress of the past five years has been built on shared effort; the next phase will depend on it even more.
We invite funders, partners, and peers to be part of what comes next.
