Frequently Asked Questions

FSC is a unique network for philanthropic funders where you can share, learn, and access support from experts and peers alike. We believe funders have a unique potential to make organisations safer through their grant-making. We walk alongside funders on their safeguarding journey, helping them to implement practices that make their organisation and the organisations they fund safer.

The Funder Safeguarding Collaborative (FSC) is a unique global network of philanthropic funders who are committed to driving action to strengthen safeguarding. Our members can share, learn, and access support from experts and peers alike to help promote a culture of safeguarding, in their own organisations and the organisations they fund.

FSC defines safeguarding as the actions taken to prevent harm, abuse or exploitation and promote the welfare and wellbeing of anyone who comes into contact with the organisation.

FSC is a member network for philanthropic funders.  We are not a grant-making organisation and cannot help with funding applications.

Yes. The FSC team provides specialist technical support bespoke to the needs of funders. We support funders with live questions, queries, and offer support around safeguarding. This support is exclusive to our members.

While network meetings and other special events are exclusive to FSC members, some of our learning events are open to non-members.  Visit our Events and resources page for details of upcoming events.

A selection of research and resources is available on our Events and Resources page.  Members have access to a larger curated online library including essential guides, and defined good practice in the form of podcasts, written briefings, and presentations.

We’d be happy to hear from you and answer any questions you may have about our network. Please email us at fsc_info@fundersafeguardingcollaborative.org and a member of the team will get back to you as soon as they can.
