US Mixer: Supporting safe, accountable organisations
Date: Wednesday, June 10, 2026
Time: 4:00 – 6:00 PM
Location: Global Fund for Children, 1411 K Street NW, Suite 1200, Washington, DC
What role can funders play to ensure that the organizations we support keep the people and communities they serve safe? And how can we do so in ways that strengthen, rather than burden, our partners?
Join the Funder Safeguarding Collaborative and peers from across the funder community for a relaxed conversation to explore these questions, share experiences, and learn from one another.
The gathering will include:
- Highlights and practical insights from recent research by FSC on current funder practices in supporting safe, accountable organizations (Safeguarding in Philanthropy: Safer Grant-Making for Greater Impact)
- Plenty of time for open conversation and peer exchange
- Food and drink!
This gathering is designed for funders and partners interested in strengthening their grantmaking practices to better protect communities by promoting safety and preventing harm. The format is intentionally informal, with space to exchange ideas, ask questions, and connect with peers – just bring your perspective and curiosity.
